Thoughts

Short takes. Useful, not theoretical.

Practical moves you can use tomorrow.
Our thoughts, no theory. Just what works.

Ecosystems beat hierarchies (when rules are clear)

When markets move fast, rigid org charts slow you down. Ecosystems win because they scale through partners – if you set the rules: interfaces, SLAs, shared KPIs, and “keep vs. share” for IP. Treat partners like modular plug-ins with clear swap criteria. Start small: one value stream, one partner lane, and a live performance board. Expect faster capacity without locking in fixed cost.

AI as a co-pilot (for judgment, not replacement)

AI should shorten decision time – not add dashboards. Start from the few decisions that matter, define the signals, then embed insights into the workflow with light automations. Keep humans in the loop, and add guardrails for quality, privacy, and ownership. Aim for value in weeks: fewer manual steps, faster calls, and adoption that sticks because the work gets easier.

Culture is a schedule (rituals over posters)

Culture changes when calendars change. Replace slogans with weekly rituals: one-page plan review, blockers cleared by Friday, short demos for visible wins, and peer feedback loops. In hybrid teams, clarity beats charisma – simple cadences, clear handoffs, and honest comms. Measure behaviour, not vibes. Do this for 8–12 weeks and momentum becomes normal.
